LITTLE PIONEER (K-1st)

Go back to the early 1800's.  Learn about school taught by rote, meet pioneers, roll a beeswax candle to take home and more.  Length - 2 hours, Available -  Apr to Oct, $10/student, Minimum $200.

PIONEER SCHOOL (2nd - 5th grade)

Our award winning "Experience Ohio" program takes your students to the 1824 Western Reserve's frontier, where they do chores in our 1813 log cabin, encounter bartering in our General Store, experience "blab school" in a one-room school and make a hand-dipped candle to take home. This is experiential learning at it's most dynamic. Length - 2.5 hours, Available -  Apr to Oct, $10/student, Minimum - $200.

WALKING IN THEIR MOCCASINS 

(3rd - 5th grade)

​​​

Our Native American program focuses on those who lived in our backyard from the Paleo to the Late Prehistoric Whittlesey culture.  Artifacts enhance our unique Native American indoor classrooms.  Outdoors, students experience hands-on learning:  making pottery, grinding corn, gardening, atlatl throwing and making a take-home necklace.  Length - 2.5 hours, Available - Apr to Oct, $10/student, Minimum - $200.

GINGERBREAD HOLIDAY

Kids of all ages enjoy a tour through our festive museum and learn how different cultures in Lake County celebrate the holidays.

OUR PLACE OR YOURS 

Little Indian (PreK - K)

Little hands learn about archaeology and artifacts with this hands-on program focusing on the local Lake County tribes.  Length - 60-90 minutes, $8/student, Minimum - $160.

Good Olde Summertime (PreK - 2nd)

​​​​

Children will learn outdoor games of yesteryear.  Games will vary, but include croquet, moditied bocce ball and more.  Length - 90 minutes, Available - Apr to Oct, $8/student, Minimum - $160.

Speakers Bureau for Students (4th - 12th)

​​​​

Presentation series with a multitude of topics about Lake History and Ohio, suh as Underground Railroad, Women Spies, Inventors and many more.  Length - 45 minutes, $150/class.

Truth is Stranger Than Fiction (All Ages)

​​​​

Hear tales about the early days of Lake County from one of our storytellers.  Length - 30 to 45 minutes, $8/student, Minimum - $160.
