PIONEER SCHOOL

LITTLE PIONEER

Welcome to the Lake County History Center's Pioneer School, where kids can step into the shoes of pioneers for a day! Travel back to the early 1800s and experience what school was like, learning through rote memorization. Meet a pioneer who will share fascinating stories of survival and the journey from back east. Kids will also have the chance to roll their own beeswax candle, explore in a general store, and discover how the changing seasons influenced daily chores.

Available April to October.  

Length:  2 hours

Cost:  $8/student, minimum $160

Target age:  K-Grade 1
